SAW resonator based ASK transmitter and receiver modules with good frequency accuracy and stability are ideal for remote control applications including telemetry, remote alarm, remote sensing, mobile robots and wireless data transfers. The transmitter unit operates from 2V to 12V DC and the receiver unit operates from 3.3V to 6V DC. A range of up to 500ft is possible in open area.

Low cost antenna:
The antenna shown on the Dragon12 picture is a whip antenna. The whip antenna is fairly
expensive. For most applications you can just solder a wire instead and it
should have a range of several hundred feet. Since the RF carrier frequency
is 433 MHz you can calculate its wavelength which is 2.2715 feet from the
following web site:
http://www.1728.com/freqwave.htm
You can make a wire at 1/4 of the wavelength to be used as an antenna. It's about 7 inches.
